We changed how the overall share (donut) in Competitor Comparison is calculated.
What changed
- Until now the overall share pooled the answers of all three AIs into one calculation, so the AI with the most answers had the largest influence on the result.
- Now we compute the share for ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity separately and average them with equal weight, the same method used by the four individual metrics on screen (visibility, mention, citation, position).
- The description under the donut now reads "with each AI weighted equally".
How results are affected
- The metric cards and the overall share now read on the same basis. Cases like "the cards are tied but the overall share leads" no longer occur.
- Brands that are strong in only one AI may see a lower overall share than before, while brands mentioned evenly across all three may see a higher one.
- Do not compare earlier overall-share values directly with new ones. Read the overall-share trend on the dashboard from today onward. The four individual metrics are unchanged.
